Serbia-Australia 12-8

Summary. Third day of competition, the last day of the pools, at the World League Super Final that is taking place here at the Italcementi swimming pool in Bergamo till 28 June. Serbia wins (12-8) against a tough Australia and ends undefeated and with nine points the pool B, where also Italy is. The match was in equilibrium till the second period that ended with the Serbians leading by 6-5. Amongst the Serbians, very good match by Filipovic, who scored four times.
Sintesi. Terza giornata, ultima dedicata alla fase a gironi, della Super Final della World League in corso a Bergamo, fino a domenica 28 giugno, alla piscina Italcementi. La Serbia batte una tenace Australia 12-8 e chiude il gruppo B, quello dell'Italia, a punteggio pieno e al primo posto. Partita in equilibrio fino al secondo tempo, chiuso dai serbi con un gol di vantaggio (6-5). Tra gli slavi in grande spolvero Filipovic, autore di una quaterna.

Hungary-Brazil 16-3

Summary. Easy win for Hungary for 16-3 against Brazil, the surprise of the tournament. The match was immediately controlled and directed by the Hungarians, who were leading,  after two periods, by seven goals (9-2). The second half of the match is like the first, with the Hungarian players very precise and effective in offense and the Brazilians too "destracted" in defense. Amongst Benedek players, we underline the three goals each by Hosnyanzsky and Salamon. With this win, no matter what Croatia will do in the next match, Hungary is sure of the first place in Pool A and Brazil secondo.
Sintesi. Vittoria agevole dell'Ungheria 16-3 contro il Brasile, rivelazione del torneo. Partita messa subito sui binari migliori dai magiari che a metà match conducono con sette gol di scarto (9-2). La seconda parte di gara scorre sulla falsa riga della prima, con gli ungheresi spietati in attacco e i brasiliani troppo "distratti" in difesa. Tra gli uomini di Benedek da segnalare le triplette di Hosnyanzsky e Salamon. Con questa vittoria, indipendentemente dal risultato della Croazia, l'Ungheria è sicura del primo posto nel gruppo A e il Brasile del secondo.

Summary. Croatia won easily against China to 14-4 in the second match of Group A. Croats immediately put down the game, closing the first sixteen minutes of play on 7-1. The margin increases with passing minute. Nine whitered players in gol and Obradovic scored three gols.

United States-Italy 10-13

Italy beat the United States 13-10 and follow the Serbia European champions in Group B. The Italians were always in the lead, and took off with a break of 5-0 between the second and the beginning of third time for the 8-3 managed until the end. Three goals by Di Fulvio, Figlioli and Gallo. Debut of goalkeeper Del Lungo which replaced Tempesti for much of the match.
L'Italia batte gli Stati Uniti 13-10 e si accoda alla Serbia campione d'Europa nel girone B. Gli azzurri sono sempre stati in vantaggio ed hanno preso il largo con un break di 5-0 tra il secondo e l'inizio del terzo tempo per il momentaneo 8-3 gestito sino alla fine. Triplette di Di Fulvio, Figlioli e del mancino Gallo. Esordio del portiere Del Lungo che ha sostituito per gran parte della gara Tempesti.
