Brazil-China 15-7

Second day of the World League Super Final, which will go on till Sunday, 28 June, at the Italcementi swimming pool in Bergamo. Brazil confirms the good level of the game played yesterday in the stunning win against Croatia and wins against China (15-7). Another good performance from the players of Ratko Rudic, big surprise of the tournament. Amongst the Brazilian players, Guilherme Gomes and Vrlic scored each three goals. The Chinese played at the same level of Brazil only in the first period that ended 3-2 for Brazil. The Brazilians took control of the match in the second and third periods and this was the break that solved the match. The Brazilians are leading Pool A with 6 point after two matches.
Seconda giornata della Super Finale di World League in corso, fino a domenica 28 giugno, alla piscina Italcementi di Bergamo. Il Brasile si conferma, dopo la sorprendente vittoria di ieri contro la Croazia, battendo la Cina 15-7. Ancora una bella prestazione da parte dei ragazzi di Ratko Rudic, rivelazione del torneo. Tra i carioca da segnalare le triplette di Guilherme Gomes e di Vrlic. Cinesi in partita solamente nella prima frazione, chiusa in svantaggio di un solo gol (3-2), poi il break dei brasiliani nel secondo e terzo parziale che indirizza definitivamente la partita. Verdeoro a punteggio pieno dopo due partite nel gruppo A.

Hungary-Croatia 12-15

Very tough and nervous the match between the World Champions of Hungary and the Olympic Champions of Croatia. Already leading by 3-0 after two minutes, Croatia wins 15-12; in this way, they demonstrated they recovered well after the unbelievable loss against Brazil of yesterday. Croatia won by being more cynic and thanks to a recovered physical shape. Sukno played really well, scoring four goals. Hungarians were not up to level and not very precise when shooting during the first part of the match, when the decisive break took place. The match was overall very tense, with three players definitive excluded.
Combattuto e nervoso il match tra i campioni del mondo dell'Ungheria e i campioni olimpici della Croazia. Già avanti 3-0 dopo due minuti, s'impongono per 15-12 i croati che così riscattano la clamorosa sconfitta all'esordio contro il Brasile, grazie al maggior cinismo in attacco e a una ritrovata condizione atletica. In evidenza Sukno, autore di una quaterna. Ungheresi sottotono e imprecisi al tiro nella prima parte di gara, quando si è creato il break decisivo. Partita fin troppo tesa: tre gli espulsi.

Australia wins against the USA in the third match in the program, which opens the group B, the one in which it is Italy. Advantage that Australian maintain until the end of the game.

Partita combattuta e che viaggia a strappi, con gli australiani che chiudono sul 4-1 la prima metà di gara, per poi subire la reazione degli statunitensi nel terzo tempo, terminato con gli aussie sopra di un solo gol (6-5). Rete di vantaggio che i ragazzi di Fatovic mantengono fino al termine della partita.

Serbia-Italy (group B) 15-11 

Italy had to stop. Defeated 15-11 by the European champions of Serbia, who is now leading the Group B after the second day of preliminaries. L'Italia si ferma. Sconfitta dai campioni d'Europa della Serbia per 15-11 che si portano in testa al girone B dopo la seconda giornata dei preliminari. Gli azzurri, avanti con Giorgetti dopo 1'12, subiscono un break di 4-0 che riescono a recuperare dopo un lungo inseguimento sul 9-9, con una magia di Aicardi a 1'13 del quarto tempo. Ma nel momento di massimo sforzo, quando sembrava che potessero gestire meglio il finale di partita, subiscono un triplo strappo da ko della Serbia.
