Third day of competition at the Stadio del Nuoto, in Rome, for the International Swimming - 50° Trofeo Settecolli. The heats are started at 9 am and the finals are scheduled at 5.00 pm. Among the most intersting finals of the afternoon there are the 200 backstroke with Federica Pellegrini. "Yesterday I did double training and I worked very hard. Today I was surprised by the waiver of Verraszto. The time of the final is not important in this moment and I think that is very difficoult that I can beat the italian record. My coach Lucas is happy or my result in 400 freestyle on Thursday. About freestyle, in this moment is important for me like a training for backstroke; in september I'll take up to swim it".
In the final of 100 freestyle there will be Filippo Magnini with the third time of the heats. "This morning I pulled as if it were a final but in the morning is never easy. I was a bit stiff and in the second 50 meters I have not liked. In final I'll try to turn in 23"60 to try to touch below 49". In the heat I did not have reference points; in the afternoon I hope to catch a good Manaudou". The schedule of the finals has the 100 freestyle Paralympic male too. The ten swimmers are Marco Recalcati, Valerio Taras, Yuri Prezzi, Simone Ciulli, Fabrizio Sottile, Federico Morlacchi, Roberto Pasquini, Fulvio D'Ippolito, Vittorio Abete e Gianluca Cacciamano. The top athletes are Federico Varese Morlacchi, three time bronze medals at the London 2012 Paralympics Games in the 100 butterfly (1'00"77), in the 200 medley (2'20"28) and 400 freestyle (4'18"55), and Fabrizio Sottile, a finalist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and Italian record holder in his category of the 100 butterfly with 1'03"97 and 200 medley in 2'21"75.
