Eurojunior. Riccione is ready

European Junior Lifesaving Championships 2013

The city of Riccione is ready to host the 15 participating national delegations to the 15th Lifesaving European Junior Championship organized by ILSE (International Life Saving European) and FIN (Italian Swimming Federation) in partnership with Polisportiva Comunale Riccione and the City of Riccione. The competition will be held from 6th to 8th of September. The indoor pool of the Polisportiva Comunale Riccione located in Via Monterosa will host pool events while beach events will take place on the "Akuna Matata" beach. Riccione will welcome Delegates, Officials and Athletes for about one week. 127 athletes will join the competition. The team to defeat is the italian one. The Italian team won the championship in 2012 (Sweden), 2011 (Denmark), 2010 (Belgium) and 2009 (Netherlands) and classified 2nd in 2008 behind German team.

 

Representing Italy: Costanza Stornello and Laura Pranzo (CN Nichelino), Federica Abois (RN Cairo Acqui Terme), Germana Critelli (Pol Catanzaro), Marianna Esposito (CN Posillipo), Marco Ferrio (CN Nichelino), Simone Scannapiecoro (Gymnasium Scafati), Francesco Giordano (Fiamme Oro Roma), Marco Colorato (Aqvasport Lario) and Luca Vetere (Pol Usip Riverborgaro) leaded by Antonello Cano (Headcoach) and Gianni Anselmetti (Technical Assistant). The team is in training in Riccione since september the 2nd.
