Settecolli Clear. Friday rises the curtain

From Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June, the 52nd Edition of Trofeo Settecolli Clear/International Swimming Competition will occur. It broadens its horizons at more one year before the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro: the Foro Italico will give hospitality not only to the great swimming but also to the historical test event of mixed duet of synchronized swimming and to the prestigious four way competition of water polo, at two weeks to the final eight of World League in Bergamo that will assign the first Olympic pass. The Trofeo Settecolli, whose first edition occurred in 1963 at the Stadio del Nuoto in Rome, is a test for the World Championship, that will be in Kazan (Russia). About 700 athletes, with 2000 presences, represent 36 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Moldavia, Panama, Peru, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tobago and Trinidad, Ukraine, USA, Tunisia, Turkey. The swimming final competition, in Saturday and Sunday late afternoon, will leave space for the first test event of mixed duet that will be introduced at the World Championship. In pool the couples from Russia, Turkey and Columbia against Giorgio Minisini with Manila Flamini in technical race and with Mariangela Perrupato in free competition. The event of synchronized swimming will be the opportunity to award the Technical Coaches of National Teams who wrote 40 years of history enriched by the bronze of Beatrice Adelizzi in Rome in 2009 and by 23 European medals: Rumilde Cucchetti, Cathy O'Brien, Stefania Tudini, Laura De Renzis and Patrizia Giallombardo. With the swimming competition, we will also follow the four way competition of water polo with the vice Olympic champion and European bronze Settebello, the Olympic champion and World bronze Croatia, the World and vice European champion Hungary and United States. The three event days will be broadcasted on Rai Sport.
