Ostia is ready to host the Mediterranean Cup

From the 6th to the 9th of August the Aquatic Complex of the Italian Swimming Federation in Ostia will host the Mediterranean Synchronized Swimming Cup, open to countries from all over the world.

The delegations will arrive in Ostia starting from the beginning of August, the pool for training will be available for teams from Tuesday the 3rd of August, the opening ceremony with Nations parade is scheduled for Thursday, August 6th at 19:30.

The competition will start on the same day with duet preliminaries in the morning (at 10:00) and team preliminaries in the afternoon (17:00).

The Nations participants are 27 and this is the first record broken, after the 26 nations present in the edition of the year 2012 in Alexandropoulis (Greece), the same venue where the young team led by Walter Bolognani won in June 2015 the Mediterranean Swimming Cup, and the 25 countries in Busto Arsizio in 2011.

Italy will take part with a selection of girls under 15. They will be training in Savona till Friday 31st July then moving to Ostia on the 1st of August.

It is expected a participation of about 380 persons, including athletes, coaches and international officials.
