The speech of the technical director Cesare Butini. Settecolli represents a value technical test at exactly 4 weeks before the beginning of Championships in Budapest and the last useful test to complete the National teams. We expect high technical levels, trusting in the maintenance of positive growth trend reached by the young swimmers. The race will be a great sport show occurring at the beautiful Stadio del Nuoto with an excellent edition with athletes coming from about 30 countries. Excellent champions will participate in this competition: the Australian Horton, Magnussen, McEvoy, the British Guy, Peaty, Scott, the Dutch Kromodijojo, Hemskerk, the Japanese Seto, the Hungarians Kapas, Cseh, Bernek, the Danish Blume and Pedersen, the French Bonnet, the South Korean Park and the Swedish Coleman". “In the meanwhile the training of the several National swimming teams continues at high rhythms. During the last days – Butini tells – the upland collegial meeting, with leaders such as Paltrinieri and Detti and other four swimmers (Megli, Proietti Colonna, Cusinato, Franceschi) and the meeting at the Spanish Centre in La Calella ended. Most of athletes of national interest and already qualified for Budapest are involved in the several meetings. The technical direction focused its attention on the athletes involved in international events and in the swimmers that would be the leaders during the Olympic four-year period just begun.”
