Russia dominated against Turkey (36-1) in the game scheduled at 14.30. Gerzanich scored 6 goals and Kravchenko 5. Hungary, led by Brigitta Horvath, who scored 8 goals, defeated Israel (26-0) and Greek also did the same against Portugal (28-3) and obtained the first position at the top of group B, reaching Russia, Italy and Holland in the quarter finals. The most uncertain game was the one between Slovakia and Great Britain, with the latter who won 10 to 7.
