The final for the 13th and 14th position opened the fifth day of the Women’s European Junior Waterpolo Championships, being held at the Centro Federale di Ostia.


Portugal won over Turkey 10 to 7, with the latter ahead only in the first period.


The first team to win the semifinal of the Europeans is Hungary, who defeated Russia 11 to 8 at the end of a game fought hard until the third period. Gurisatti and Horvath scored both three goals each.


Greece also, as expected,  moves ahead by defeating Ukraine 25 to 4.


Unexpected result also in the following game between Spain and Holland, with Spain as the winning team. The Spaniards won 8 to 6 over the Dutch.


Italy met his fans’ expectations and  defeated Great Britan 16 to 1. The young Setterosa team trained by Paolo Zizza will face Hungary on Saturday afternoon, at 19.00, in the semifinal.
