Seguono le procedure da seguire per l'accesso alla zona mista e alle conferenze stampa delle gare di nuoto alle Olimpiadi di Tokyo. Con queste regole il comitato organizzatore intende tutelare tutti i partecipanti, media compresi. Ovviamente non sono derogabili e chi le infrange sarà espulso dall'impianto.
ACCESSO ALLA ZONA MISTA. La zona mista per la stampa scritta è in due stanze separate, ognuna delle quali includerà un monitor televisivo e un terminale CIS (Commentary Information System) che fornirà risultati e informazioni. Sul pavimento è segnato con del nastro adesivo lo spazio per ciascuna persona. Gli atleti si muoveranno all'interno della zona mista a due metri dai giornalisti separati da apposite strutture.
REGOLE GENERICHE. La zona mista dà accesso a 45 pass totali che saranno rilasciati per ogni sessione in base all'ordine di arrivo. Ogni testata potrà accreditare un solo giornalista. Il pass è individuale e nominativo. Il pass è valido esclusivamente per quella singola sessione e il giornalista può lasciare in qualsiasi momento e per qualsiasi motivo la sala, ma solo lui potrà accedervi nuovamente (nessuna sostituzione sarà ammessa).
BATTERIE. PASS PER LA ZONA MISTA STAMPA OBBLIGATORIO. I pass saranno disponibili presso il Venue Media Center alle 17:00, due ore prima dell'inizio della rispettiva sessione.
SEMIFINALI E FINALI. PASS PER LA ZONA MISTA OBBLIGATORIO. I pass saranno disponibili solo per i giornalisti che hanno atleti della loro nazione in gara. Il numero di pass sarà determinato entro le ore 8:00. I pass saranno offerti in base all'ordine di arrivo dei giornalisti al Venue Media Center dalle 8:30, due ore prima dell'inizio della rispettiva sessione delle finali.
ATLETI IN ZONA MISTA. Gli atleti potranno decidere quando e quanto fermarsi alle postazioni dei media. Gli è stato suggerito che le soste non superino il minuto.
START LIST. Le start list delle batterie saranno disponibili circa 24 ore prima. Quelle delle semifinali e finali circa un'ora dopo la sessione delle batterie.
CONFERENZE STAMPA. Alle conferenze stampa parteciperanno i medagliati olimpici. Ogni persona che parteciperà alla conferenza stampa dovrà sedere su una sedia per mantenere una corretta distanza sociale. I volontari porteranno i microfoni ai giornalisti, che non potranno toccarlo. I giornalisti non potranno posizionare telefoni cellulari o dispositivi di registrazione sui divanetti dove sono seduti gli atleti, ma sono previsti tavoli adiacenti.
