Below the statements of the winners and the best athletes of the last day of the 47th European Junior Championships, in Rome.

Women's 100m butterfly - Final
Gold medalist. Lana Pudar (Bih) 57"56: I am very happy with my result and especially for honouring my country. This was the first gold for Bosnia. Where I was born it is difficult to swim professionally, there are no olympic swimming pools. I love Rome.

Men's 400m individual medley - Final
Gold medalist. Cedric Buessing (Ger) 4'17"40: I am very satisfied with my races especially after the silver in 4x200 and the bronze in 200 mixed. This gold completes my palmarès. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in this pool, I hope to come back next year for Europeans.

Women's 100m breaststroke - Final
Gold medalist. Eneli Jefimova (Est) 1'07"24: I am satisfied with this gold, that is the third one in these Championships. This is the second international event for me, the first time was in May and I have already won several medals. I couldn't be more happy and proud. It's my first experience in an outdoor pool, but I have enjoyed it very much. I am leaving soon for the Olympics and I am going to do my best to win a medal and to beat my records.

Men's 200m butterfly - Final
Gold medalist. Krzysztof Chmielewski (Pol) 1'56"29: I don't know whether to be more excited about the gold or about standing on the podium with my twin brother. Now I'm getting ready for my first Olympics.
Silver medalist. Michal Chmielewski (Pol) 1'57"09: Winning this medal was exciting. I was hoping for it but I didn't think I could get a silver. It was a hard fight with my brother. We train together in Warsaw, trained by Grzegorz Oledzki.

Women's 400m freestyle - Final
Gold medalist. Merve Tuncel (Tur) 4'06"25: I am very happy with my results. In the last few months I have mainly focused on this event. However, the training for Tokyo is going well.
Bronze medalist. Giulia Vetrano (Ita): 4'12"23: I lowered my personal best, but I was hoping to go under 4'12". I am happy with the results I got this week, it was a good training for Tokyo. This is my last race before the Olympics. I am leaving next week, but first I am going to spend some time with my family and friends, my first supporters. I have just realized that my olympic dream is coming true.

Men's 200m backstroke - Final
Gold medalist. Ksawery Masiuk (Pol) 1'58"41: The results got in these Europeans make me speechless. I am leaving for Tokyo; there I will take part in the relay. Of course I am looking forward to next European Championships. See you next year!

Women's 200m backstroke - Final
Gold medalist. Laura Bernat (Pol) 2'10"14: I am satisfied with my result. I have great expectations for the future, I am leaving for Tokyo after a very tough training. I am happy to be in Stadio del Nuoto. I have already been in Rome and it's a pleasure to be back here. 
Bronze medalist. Erika Gaetani (Ita) 2'11"46: I know I could have done better, but I feel very tired after six days of races. I'm not satisfied with the time, I wanted to set my new personal record. I am going to have two days of rest, and then start again with last races of this season.

Men's 50m freestyle - Final
Gold medalist. David Popovici (Rou) 22"22: This is my last race before leaving for Tokyo. I had expectations for these Championships, but I have done better than we had thought with my coach. I am determined to take gold in next European Championships here in Rome. I love this sport!

Women's 50m freestyle - Final
Gold medalist. Daria Tatarinova (Rus) 24"87: It was very hard but rewarding as well. Russia has an important role in swimming, our athletes often succeed in getting international podiums. We work hard, both swimmers and coaches. 

Men's 800m freestyle - Final
Gold medalist. Yigit Aslan (Tur) 7'51"20: I really wanted this medal. I have been training for a year for it. I'm taking part in Olympic Games. This is my last in junior category. I would like to come back here for European Championships next year.
Bronze medalist. Luca De Tullio (Ita) 7'58"10: I have just come back after few days off due to a health problem. I regret not being able to compete last days, I think I could have got good results. However, I am satisfied with this bronze, even though I have swum 2" over my personal best, I don't mind.

Women's 4x100m medley - Final
Gold medalist. Russia (Aleksandra Kurilkina 1'03"26, Elena Bogomolova 1'06"79, Anastasiia Markova 58"12, Daria Klepikova 54"55) 4'02"72: It was a head-to-head with France, we are very satisfied with this result. We are glad to take part in these Championships, it's the first time in Rome for all of us. We have contributed to the many russian medals, we are very proud of it. We are looking forward to next European Championships here in Rome.

Men's 4x100m medley - Final
Gold medalist. Poland (Ksawery Masiuk 54"41, Bartosz Skora 1'01"34, Pawel Uryniuk 52"92, Mateusz Chowaniek 48"79) 3'37"46. No statment
