VOLUSIA COUNTY BEACHES

The beaches of the Daytona Beach area and New Smyrna Beach offer breath taking beauty and water related fun. The beach stretches to 500 feet wide at low tide. It's easy to see why our beaches are considered among the best in the world. Whether your day at the beach is to relax and read a book; cast  a line into the surf; build sand castles with the children or cruise alongside with the top down, Volusia County beaches can accommodate your desired experience.

All Ocean events for Rescue 2002 will be in the new family friendly, traffic-free zone in front of the Boardwalk-Bandshell on what's known around the world as "The World's Most Famous Beach." The beach events will take place just north of the Main Street Pier just meters from the Host Hotel.

YMCA AQUATIC CENTER

One of the premiere swimming facilities in nearby Orlando, the YMCA Aquatic Center has been the site of eight World and 20 U.S. national records. The complex features three indoor heated pools large enough to host any aquatic activity.

Though the center is easily accessible, the local organizing committee will arrange coach transportation to and from all practice and competitions.
