Welcome to the April issue of Rescue 2002 News. The countdown begins – we are only 30 days away from Rescue 2002. Continue to check Rescue 2002 News and www.rescue2002.com for all the latest news surrounding the event.

The List Keeps Growing

The list of countries to compete in Rescue 2002 includes: United States, Great Britain, Canada, Switzerland, Macedonia, Surf Lifesaving-Australia, Royal Life Saving Society-Australia, Royal Life Saving Society-United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain, South Africa, Egypt, New Zealand, Indonesia, France, Sweden, 

Hong Kong and Taiwan - Republic of China.

 

In addition, interclub teams from the United States, Great Britain, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Hong Kong, France, Spain, New Zealand, Denmark, Canada and South Africa have registered to compete as well.

The Clock is Ticking

It’s not too late! Even though Rescue 2002 is right around the corner, any competitor wishing to participate can still send in their completed registration form and appropriate fees. Late registrants will be subject to a late fee, but you don’t want to miss the top lifesaving event of the year. Forms can be obtained on-line at www.rescue2002.com.  Please send forms and fees to:

Where to Stay

 

The Beachside Motel offers direct oceanfront views of Daytona Beach. The Beachside Motel is a completely all non-smoking property. All rooms, common areas and outside area are non-smoking. All guests are required to adhere to this policy.

Practice Pools

The Rescue 2002 Executive Committee has secured several pools in the Daytona Beach area, including the competition pool in Orlando, for practice times leading up to the event. Visit www.rescue2002.com for more information or contact the following locations for availability:
