May 7-19, 2002 The City of Daytona Beach, the Central Florida Sports Commission, Volusia County, the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce and the United States Lifesaving Association are proud to host the Rescue 2002™ World Lifesaving Championships in Daytona Beach. The championships for this year will include events for national teams, club teams, masters, surfboats and open still water boats. There will also be a 2K run, long distance paddleboard, long distance ski competition and a trade show during registration.
